DON,

i posted on HoFo and theres many out there with the same situation as me, that is imei changed.

i did a partial flash, that is i checked the diff only box and fflashed, and still get that imei.
could it be optiflash or SFB Januka? cos i use januka to mod my firmware.
did you try using januka? maybe you could use januka to just save an .sre and flash it back with optiflash... and see whether your imei changes...

btw, what is that "erase pass" thingy in optiflash?

i really need to find out why this is happening. it's tiring for me to go down to my local internet cafe to use v200 imeichanger as my laptop doesnt have a comport1. and having to pay GBP1 each time as well!!!

please reply soonest, cheers.

How big was that partial flash?
Flash the phone with the same firmware and remove the cable at 10% than remove the batt, put it back and start your phone than check your imei. "Is it different?"

The passes thing is this http://forums.mobiledia.com/viewtopic.php?t=8542&highlight=passes

Yo Don! (getting into habit at yelling your name when I get stuck and have problems with flashing)

I have a SGH-E700A firmware to share, but I can seems to find a dumper for E700, except for that UST pro thingy, which cost too much!
Any idea where to get one?

Firmware version is E70DZWK6, this versions comes with chinese input in both chinese and english language enviroment(language settings)

Cheers
PS. I have uploaded the "other" version of optiflash to you ftp server.

if i remove the cable at 10%, wont it kill my phone??? many have said that even the batt must be sufficient to last the flash period, let alone pluck the cable out???

are you sure you want me to do that DON? what is the purpose of that procedure? i really think its too risky.

btw, what i meant by partial flash, is after i modded my backup firmware with januka sfb, i did a flash with optiflash 3.6 but i checked the "diff only" box, that way i kinda did a very short flash.... which just replaces all the pics that i have replaced.

what if the imei stays? what does it mean? i wanna do it, but i'm too scared, besides, is there a way to revert my imei besides using V200 imei changer, i cant use it cos it's fixed to use com1 when i dont have. i'm using usb to serial so its com8.

is there any other tools i can use? email me dope@onetel.com
i know you're not allowed to talk about it in the forum.

@ChaoZ
I received your optiflash but it works the same as the one i have i can only flash on Data mode. Some guys on the internet found a link its: http://www.gsmcn.com/down_view.asp?id=69 if you can read it maybe you can dl it.

@dopeE710
When i flashed my E710 again with the same E715 firmware and removed it at 10% my IMEI changed back from 44...... to 35...... maybe it works for you to. V200 IMEI changer is the only one i know that really works.

you waht you meant is:

i flash to whichever firmware iwant.....
imei changes after flashing.....
then i flash again with the same firmware....
remove at 10%....
remove batt....
insert sim and power back on....
then the imei should be back to 35...... instead of 44.....

is that right?

btw, u using the e715 fw? so what you did is you flash the e715 fw to ur e710, then ur imei changed, then u flashed the e715 fw again and removed at 10%.... did i get that right?

thanx.
