I received your optiflash but it works the same as the one i have i can only flash on Data mode. Some guys on the internet found a link its: http://www.gsmcn.com/down_view.asp?id=69 if you can read it maybe you can dl it.
Works the same way eh?, but the copy I downloaded from this forum, doesn't work with my cable... ????(have not tested on a OEM V200-"one with switch" cable yet with e71x, on loan not back yet)
regarding the link, in chinese it states that I have to get some membership and credit in order to download anything.
Keep giving me error messages. And there is id=70 but not 69
Well just have to wait for someone to release it then, by then maybe there will be the new firmware on your list.
Currently, doing research on e708, e700A, I think they are on the same platform.
Anyone have any idea how to read the XXXXXXX codes of the samsung firmware?
Cheers
PS. will upload the new firmware when I ripped it.

V208 platform doesn't allow to procede.
I tried all combinations, but all failed.
As I mentioned early, I've flashed my V200 successfully with the firmware
V28ZCWE8 under option V200-E5. ONLY the ring tone doesn't work. Any solution?
By the way, I'm using WIN2000. Will this matter? |
From my experience for a Singapore SGH-V200 set to work flawlessly without any
stability problem you must choose V208.
Your problem i belive lies in the Optiflash. Wat version you are using?
Im using WinXP Pro with Optiflash ver 3.6. No problem at all.
Look for the correct version or find a machine with XP to try it.
it will work. I already tried it countless times!
Hope tis helps...

Mind to elaborate it?
I just can not procede to flash, if I choose V208. (I also tried it on a XP machine).
Did I forget anything? I'm using optiflash 3.6 provided by this webpage.
Can you tell me the details?
Maybe you can send me an email (zhaoyb@cz3.nus.edu.sg).
Just noticed you are also from Singapore and a M1 subscriber...
That means I got a hope.
Thanks in advance.

My copy is the same as wat u r having now. I DL from Don too
Wat Don said in his reply is correct. |
I tried the V28ZCWH2 with platform V200 ,V200 E5 and V208. check "differences only" or not. with v208 got error msg "Error FlashType", the flash chips not match.
i found the file memory region is 0x00000000-0x00ce623. but usually the regions are 0x00000000-0x00001ffff and 0x00004000-0x00fffffff. can it cause failure?
many thanks

Well, is there any way i can change the E710 settings from the vodafone live settings to any better ones which are not network dependant? i would just like a E710 that is more towards the samsung software than the voda live one. In Don's firmware lists, under the E71X series' firmware flashers is E75---L2, E71BUWL2, which is the one i am having now, and E75---K4. which one am i sopposed to use? i know it won't be the E71BUWL2, cos i am having that firmware now, and it is set to vodafone live. I want an E710 with nicer graphics and stuff..... please help me there, whoever!!!! Thanks in advance!!!
