When I try to backup my E715 firmware it says err_flash_type error. This is after I remove the ranges as listed in the instructions and read them. Also if you get an err_wrong_loaderfile error make sure you create the Models directory where you installed Optiflash 3.6. But why am I getting the flash type error? Thank you.

Guess the firmware got a prob? so i had flashed back to v2_g3_b2.sre and luckily it is back on, whew
I was using Optiflash 3.5.0.2, Firmware V28ZCWH2.s3, win XP, original cable...
and V200 for the platform...
So do you think I should use Optiflash 3.6? or maybe the firmware is just ain't compatible?
I'm using firmware V2_G3_B2.sre now... and the prob for it is, lcd doesn't show name but phone no. only...
Thanks,
Buddy.

- Which Firmware?
- Which Optiflash?
- Which OS?
- Which Cable?
- And last but not least did you set your phone model as platform in the Options=>Settings=>Generic tab of optiflash?
Your phone isn't broken its just defect for a while.
After you have put back the battery don't push the on/off button to see if it turns on
