Hi,
I never believe that this kind of battery charging problem can occur in nokia even. When ever i charge the phone through charger its charging signal bar never stops, i mean to say my phone never says "battery full".But yes when the phone is kept off while charging it charges the battery correctly and even the battery signal indicator stops to 100% when battery is full.
Can any one tell that why is this problem occuring. I even formatted the phone.

I had this with my 6630 but the problem solved itself, occured several times and after a while it disappeared.

But friend it never charges the battery when it is ON state.It only charges the battery when phone is OFF. What do you think is it a charging IC problem or any software problem?
Your 6630 problem solved and it was OFTEN. But this problem is consistent in my phone and its reallly a naughty one

I had this problem after doing a firmware update. First I thought it was a firmware problem, but after a few weeks it didn't happend anymore and I still don't know why.
Everything I did when it seems to charge but never finished: I restarted the phone and it worked... until the next charging time.
A wild guess: take out the battery, check if the connectors are clean and put it back again.
Maybe the battery is loose.

Yes you are right. Actually i restarted the phone while charging it and the problem solved but until next charging session. I checked battery terminals but they were correct and clean. They should be clean because i purchased it few weeks ago.Secondly if there is any battery terminal problem then it should not charge when the phone is in OFF state.
