I had an L7 for about a week then decided to flash. An error occured in flashing and said "FLASH FAILED". Its been bricked for about 3 weeks. It goes directly to bootloader screen and says Service Req'd.

USB hub or USB port?
MUST be flashed on a port...hubs will usually kill yer phone. Personal experience.
Once I hooked to a direct USB port, flashing worked...even when the phone was stuck in bootloader mode, stuck on 'critical error', 'code corrupt' etc.

You absolutely sure it was a port?
Try this -
uninstall the drivers in device manager (probably should have motorola usb modem, flash interface, etc).
reconnect the phone and let it detect.
run P2Ktools, and connect the phone - it should reinstall all those different devices.

Go in to device manager,
double-click the usb port

Click on the powre management tab and uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power"

If that doesn't work, try another computer (a friend, neighbor, somebody).

After disconnecting the phone? That error usually happens to me when I try to flash again without dis/reconnecting the phone.
Try a different usb port.
If it doesn't work, try a different computer. 'sall I got.
Check over at moto modders dot net and www.motox.info
I've always found a solution over there (at least one person has already gone thru any of the problems I wind up having).
