There have been some comments about the hinge breaking easily on the CU500. Has anyone experienced this or does the hinge look cheap?

I've had mine for a week. The hinge seems pretty solid to me. No different than any other phone I've had, maybe even stronger.

Yea it looks like whatever the two people reported about their hinge was isolated to them. Everyone else has said it's as good or better than other phones, as you say. Thanks!

Yes, the hinge is an issue. My first phone broke the first day. The internal spring mechanism seems poorly designed. My second phone developed a wobble in the hinge - not broken, but annoying. My third phone is doing better, but I feel like I have to treat it too carefully. Phones should be able to take some regular abuse!
