If they can access the hot spot in a starbucks for reception, whats to stop the phone from accessing my router to get reception if I live in an area with crappy reception?
That is if I understand what "hot spot enabled" means.

that is a device that has a wifi capability... a seperate data connection that is *very* fast simililar to your wireless router...
if you have your router set up as a private network only devices already introduced can acces that router....
mebbe its time to check the routers setup

I don't have the phone yet.
What I am asking is if I give the router password to the phone etc (basically the same as I would do for a computer), would it be able to use it the same as it would a cell tower?

Thank you... because if I can get reception via my router, then I will definately get a hot spot enabled phone.
