well...it works on mine fine. All you have to do is press the camera button on the phone when you are in a call. Maybe different version as i am with telus in canada. But i believe the model is the same for the phone. vx8500. Anyway...try that and see if it works!

agree, that speaker is actually really good y not just add a connection for speaker phone

this works on mine too. It is kinda funny that they advertise it as having no speakerphone and the people at the verizon store say that it doesn't but it realy does and no one seems to know it. Mine is a VX8500 that was bought in new york so i would think that that means it would work on others bought in the states too.

The speaker phone feature was part of the software update that just recently came out. All the new chocolates should come with it already. If your phone doesnt have it, just take it to the verizon store and leave your phone there for about a half hour and they can put the new software on it. I have it and it works very well.
