ok CHUCK H....i read ur instructions about 50 times....When i go to download the Installer from http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ and it wants a MIRROR?? which one do i chose....if would please w/b ASAP that would help im going crazy tryin to figure it out ...THANKS FOR UR TIME!!!!!!!!!!

Choose any mirror you want Bruno. A mirror is basically a link to another site that houses the file. You won't go to that site, it will just retrieve it for you. The only difference about the different mirrors (aside from physical location) is download speed.
Thankfully, the Audacity file isn't too large, so as long as you have broadband, it shouldn't be an issue as to which mirror you choose. Hope that helps.

how do i get the file size smaller.im just using a very small portion of a song, like seconds and there still over 5000.Is there a way to tell how big file is.

I tried about everything i could do to get the ringtones to my phone i did the text message thing i did the outher were i use a diff program through the usb plug in, nuthing works.I think that verizon is wise to this game at this point. I got my files smaller and and down to under 300 and still my text never go through. Anyone know of someting that i have to do on my phone as in turn something on or anything else.I have the chocolate just got it wed . Thanks

i have been having the same issues because i did not purchase the outrageously expensive connection package. here's an idea though: the file size to attach to a pix msg on the 8550 is 350kb i believe, so use all the steps describe previously until you get to the part where you send the file via email to tendigitcellnumber, because this did not work for me either. instead, use your micro card in the digital card reader of your computer and drop your new mp3's in the "My Sounds" folder and then once the card is back in your phone, send yourself a pix msg with the sound file attached. when you get the pix msg you can choose to save the song as a ringtone.

I have tried chaning the chaning the settings and everything else its says do but I still can't send the ringtones to my phone, am I doing someting wrong, getting real frustrated
