Like all Cingular users I get free minutes from 9PM to 6AM. Well sometimes I call my friends six way. We call like a party line, its almost like a chatroom but we just talk to people on the phone. Its free because it just uses my minutes but I use alot arround 20,000 night and weekend minutes a month.

I am usually on from 10:00PM thourh 4:00AM and leave the phone on so my friends can keep talking because some dont have long distance. But I have to turn of off at arround 550AM, it bothers me because I have to wake up to turn it off. I leave it connected to the charger so the batt does not die.

So im asking if I made a call before 6:00AM for a couple hour would it still be free since I made the call when the minutes were free?

you would get split billing... minutes used before 6am would be N&W and the minutes after peak airtime ...if they are cingular it would be MtM

truth be it known it is market dependant...(depends if its CARE or TELEGENCE and it can vary between markets in that system) but the answer I gave was a fail safe answer... essentially if you get a call on it from a customer... you have to look it up

this is thae same concept as the att digital plans that had 5 holidays that regardless of the day of the week they fell on they counted as weekends...I still get call on major holidays with customers asking if such and such holiday is counted as a weekend...unless it was a holiday that was never included I have to bring up the plan parameters for that service and look....

elmo,

how do we look it up to find out how a customer's particular area treats this issue?

i was under the impression that it was when the call originated, not the timespan of the call.

I seem to remember reading/hearing (i think during a lesson in training) that it could be based on call origination OR based on timespan, but that it depended on market...as elmo stated above.

Cingular Blue was based on when the call originated, which was great if you wanted to make a 2 hour call at 5:58AM, but horrible for a 2 hour call at 8:58PM
