The $20 is true if you do it on the phone. But it's free if you do it online. However, if you say something like "I tried doing it online and it gave me a message to call customer service." Then we'll do it over the phone for free. Also, you have 15 days to return the phone and do it the way you planned should you choose to.

I just got the phone using the upgrade from another line on my account but it will not let me activate it online - it asks me for the code on the phone - I did that then it automatically detects that it is for another line and asks me for the order number and location code from the receipt - ok I did that but it automatically detects that it must be for another phone and will not let me do it - what do I do?

maybe I did but I doubt it! Thanks though but I did call and found out I had to do the auto agreement thing and then I was able to do it! The people I got seemed as confused as I was so I don't think it was you because you seem to know what you are doing! Thanks!

You have to go online so you don't get charged... or else you could just call and tell them you tried online, but it didn't work.. then they'll do it for you for free. If all of this is true, it only further proves how sneaky and dishonest Verizon is. Why are they making it so hard for their customers to receive these services? I don't appreciate them wasting the time of paying customers!
Do they pay you to come online and lie about their products for them? Verizon is not on my good list!

Very witty... you have no other response beyond.. "Really, I couldn't tell." I personally would never want to work for something I didn't believe in.

Yep...agree with you there. That's why I will defend VZW. Because I believe in them.
