Let me repost the real issue here:
You have to go online so you don't get charged... or else you could just call and tell them you tried online, but it didn't work.. then they'll do it for you for free. If all of this is true, it only further proves how sneaky and dishonest Verizon is. Why are they making it so hard for their customers to receive these services? I don't appreciate them wasting the time of paying customers!

Well, that being said the location where I am does not charge for an esn change.. Even over the phone, though I do know other providers do, so Nota stop trying to act like it is just VZW that does and most of the time it works online just fine.. Once again, sometimes it can be user error if that is the case stop blaming the provider!!

Ha... and who do you work for?
I have the RIGHT to voice my feelings about their service. It was not user error. It was poor service.

I have been a customer of Verizon for 4 years (2002). I have a family plan with 5 lines. I had an upgrade in 2004 on all my lines of service and each line got $100 off. Now its time for another upgrade (or past) and they are telling me only my primary line is eligible. When I did the upgrade in 2004, I was told that I was eligible for all my lines again. Why am I getting the run around? Any ideas? TIA!

Ron,
If you are looking for real answers, I recommend you go elsewhere. This site is full of over paid Verizon jerks who will waste your time. Sorry you also got screwed.

well NotaVZWFan, then why dont you stop being a jerk, and get a real phone company like Verizon, who has real customer service unlike others. Let me guess, you work for Cingular???
