Custom ringtones on the Chocolate?

OMGGG okay i have the sameee problem with the post above^^ can someone please help out ....how can i set my mp3 or any song that i send to my phone as a ringtone?????? i have no option on my foone to do that and when i plug in my phone i have no access to my ringtone folder?? how can i set my mp3 or other songs as RINGTONE and how can i access the ringtune folder once i plug in my phone?????

I am new to this forum and I have a Presaio laptop and I am using Windows Media Player as my default.

On to my question.. I have downloaded the Bitpim but one minute it reads my phone, the next it does not and says"No phone detected". I was able to creat 2 ringtones at one point but I am unable to transfer them to my phone (it shuts my phone off), but now I cant get nothing to happen since it does not read my phone. I am getting very frustrated and to the point where I wish I had not even started this whole process. Can someone please help me? I do not care to do the email version but would really love another option to obtaining ringtones. But I am glad I discovered this forum. My plans were to purchase the MEK from Verizon tomorrow. Glad I have read this, it has saved me 30.00.

I just got my Chocolate and I'm trying the 'editing the music via audacity and emailing it to my phone' gig and when I try to email it to my phone, I keep getting a failure in sending the email. Here's what it says:

This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification

Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently:

xxxxxxxxxx@vzwpix. com

Technical details of permanent failure:
PERM_FAILURE: SMTP Error (state 12): 550 SMTP connection refused

Anyone got any tips for this problem?

I've got no tips, but I did getsomething a tiny bit similar:

I've been sending MP3s as ringtones since a day or two ago, and it's been working great since then. After getting my last ringtone, I gave my phone a break, and I went to send another ringtone to it. Five hours later, no text message. So I Checked my mail, and got the message above. I use Hotmail, so that may be a reason.

Any suggestions to that?

does anyone know what to do when u try to connect ur phone to the computer via usb and when u click connect it just says initilaizing please wait...and then nothing happens???

nelendil12: i get the exact same messege i have got none through to my phone. I am on Rogers with a TG800.

I was sending mp3 ring tones to my phone last week and it worked but this week the emails keep coming back and it says "connection rejected" or something like that. Do you know what I should do?
