Hey Sonship, I was able to get BP to work perfectly with my G5 to transfer ringtones! Thank you so much for the walkthrough.

Is there also a way to transfer mp3s to the music folder? I noticed that on the "Send Data to Phone" menu there is no option to send files added to the music category (2nd photo in your quote). How do I send files to the phone in other categories that aren't listed?

Is there something I'm missing here?

Your welcome.

The way I have been storing music in my music folder is using the drag drop method onto a Micro SD card/reader that I connect to my computer via USB as an external drive. BITPIM does not have an interface as far as I know to transfer data to the Music Folder other than having a Micro SD card/USB reader.

Hope this helps

Hi there.

I tried emailing it to my phone. The file was 342 kb, but when it was transferred, the ringtone quality was SOOOOO BAD! You can't even tell what song it was.

Apparently the transfer reduced the file to 41 kb.

I have an LG8300. Can anyone help?

Is there something that i need to turn on my phone or is Verizon at this point pretty smart and blocks everything sent. I allso tried the making small mp3 files and that doesnt work, used the audcity and all that NUTHING.never get the e-mails. Any one know any way to get the ringtones. icon_blink.gif
