well I looked around for way to long yesterday (like an hour and a half) and I found out that it doesnt work with the newer chocolates bcuz Verizon found out about Bitpim and blocked it. So far theres no way around it bsides changing the mode of ur phone but the whole thing sounded way to complicated so I'm waiting for a solution to the Bitpim block

So in the chocolate commercials they show a cd cover when the music is playing, and I have had this phone since the day it came out and can't figure out how to do that.
Please Help

I've recently been sent a replacement for my Chocolate from Verizon, because the input jack for the headphones was going bad, and the sound would cut in and out when I was using the headphones. Bitpim worked on my old Chocolate, but it doesn't work on the new one they sent me. So I tried to go the MicroSD card reader route, but I'm in the same boat as everyone else - I can't transfer any of my ringers over, because the phone-to-card transfer directories don't include ringers; just sounds, pix, flix, and music. It's frustrating, because I can't even transfer my contacts or calendar over. VZW are money grubbing bastards. Someone please post if a BitPim workaround is discovered for the newer Chocolates.

Found what you guys are looking for, I also was not happy about VZW latest efforts to deceive the public. The work around takes a few extra steps for v05, but it works. Still kind of a novice at this. First post, first day so I could not post any links. Try to add tommorrow.
You'll need LG downloader program(this is warez, best place to get this is(bit torrent), and the latest dll. You can get the dll file here for the version you need.
Use the LG downloader to put phone in NVedit mode. Then you can exit LG downloader program and enter Bitpim now that you are in NVedit mode. When you are finished, turn the phone off(which will get it out of NV edit mode), and then turn the phone on and your files should be on there. I have not had any problems. The hardest part for me was figuring how to add the dll file to LG downloader.

http://www.humpa.com/vzw/ for dll files, per version.
http://mobile-files.com/ or bit torrent for LG downloader.
Learned how to do this process from these guys. They deserve all the credit. You might have to piece a few threads from this site to fully understand how to do this.

I'd like to see exactly what it takes to put stuff on the new chocolate. I can't get anything on there, including via the email method. Anyone have any input? If I email a sound clip, I get an error message. I can't even use bitpim to add contacts, so if there's any info, I'd greatly appreciate it.
