I gave you guys the information to make this work. It takes a little work to put the pieces together, but its not that hard. Should be able to get LG from here or a similar type site:

Now that Verizon had to be even more difficult (btw, i've read all 27 pages, and tried all the suggestions), what format do the ringtones need to be in. I talked to my friend who works for Verizon and he said that you need to use Audicity and Lame, but the format you need is something like g2. I'm not sure the rest, but he said it was very odd. Has anyone figured out how to get this format and to make it work on the new software?

When finished editing the song in Audacity, export as Mp3. The 'lame' file is what enables you to export as Mp3. Then use LG to phone in NVedit mode. Then you can disconnect from LG, and connect to BitPim and make any changes.

So. When did firmware v5 came out? Is it automatically updated onto your Chocolate? I can still e-mail the ringtones to my phone (which I had since Christmas) but when I open the picture msg, no music is played. Is this due to the new firmware?

That is exactly what is happening to me now. But I had to take my old phone to verizon, because the touch screen wacked out. When about a week later I tried to e-mail the ringtones to my phone like I used to. ( I was using "Ringtone Ripper") I can email them to my phone, but when I open the message, the music isn't played. And when I go to save it, it says "error saving". Is there a different format needed to save these? Or am I just subject to having to buy them now. Any help is greatly appreciated.
