Naruto,
what LD VX8300 driver are you using? Where can I get it?
I cannot make the damn PC recognize the phone, although I installed a CDMA composite device driver for the phone.

make sure you have windows service pack 2 instaled on your pc , if not download it!
then goto the device manager , press syn on the phone , then when you see the questin mark in the device manager click on it oped the v cast and update drivers then it will connect !
i spent 4 hours geting mine to work verizon told me my usb wasnt a 2.0 and its not but it still works , dont give up they dont know whats going on!

hey i just tried your suggestion..cause i called verizon also and they came up with the conclusion that i needed a 2.0 usb because mine is 1.1. but when i open up the device manager and drop down the universal serial bus controllers it says LGE CDMA Compostie Usb Deviveand then when i double click it says that the drivers are installed succesfully and then i go to update them and it says i got the latest driver for it... but then when i press sync on my phone the device manager reloads with "windows portable devices - VCAST moblie phone..i click on that and it says that the drivers arent installed, please load in the cd that came with hardware so i do that and then it says it cant pass the windows logo test, please contact administrator... can you PLEASE HELP ME!!thanks

I had the same problem but it is resolved. There is a knowledge base for known windows issues that the tech team at verizon can give you, and also download the Windows Media player 11.2 beta, install it. I did that and it works now.

I totaly bypass the Syncing procedure on the LG VX-8300.
If you have a card reader (ie: Crucial Hi-Speed USB 8-in-1 Card Reader) they run around 15 bucks.

Pop in the SD card, use Windows Explorer to Drag and Drop files between computer and memory card. In there respective directories (my music, my MP3 etc.).
This works great with all Music/Picture/Video files etc.
Pop the sd card back into the phone and you are set to go.

thanks timmy, you've helped me out so far but not 100% yet. I downloaded windows media player 11.2 beta but i have not yet got to call up verizon to get what you're saying i need. and actually for the first time i hooked up my phone with the usb and it said connected on my phone when i clicked sync..but on WMP 11.2 it says " connect a device" and i click refresh devices and it doesnt read it.. so i called up verizon tech and the guy was saying i need VCAST on my phone in order to put songs on there. but just last night i downloaded 3 songs onto my phone so i dont understand what he's saying.. so he told me to ask you guys if you guys have vcast on your phone plan..do you need that to put songs on?

sorry to keep posting but i just want to get this to work.. ive just talked to a technician who says she deals with this syncing stuff everyday and she said i do need a 2.0 usb port because the cable is made for 2.0 usb ports and if you have a 1.1 it wont transfer. and she also said it wont work in WMP 11.2. well now i uninstalled WMP 11.2 and downloaded WMP 10 again and it connects on my phone but it doesnt find the device in WMP 10.. can someone please help with that? =)
thanks
