I have a Cingular plan which I pay 120.00/Month. With that I get free weekends and free nights, also free calling to other cingular users. Well since my number is a Cingular number will it be free to call it?
Also what about pages, are those free? You know the ones when someone calls you and you didnt pick up then it says "to send a page press 5" then it says "0000000000" "the number page" are those free?
Thank you all very much.

if you have MTM, it is free (some older plans don't)
Cut Through Paging
Callers can leave a call-back number instead of, or in addition to, a voice message. The voicemail customer will receive a text message (at no charge) on their wireless phone with the call back number.

You guys are incorrect. It depends on the market. Some markets support free voicemail checking and others dont. In the northeast, where Im located, all voicemail calls are M2M. It also depends on the plan your on

Does anyone have a copy of an old Cingular Contract that shows Voicemail retrieval is M2M?

when you do get said contract read it closely. all if it. you will find a section titled
CHANGES TO TERMS AND RATES
We may change any terms, conditions, rates, fees, expenses, or charges regarding your service at any time. We will provide you with notice of such changes
so if vm was MtM and now its not. this section covers ATT/Cingular
unless you have Voicemail OCD I cant imagine its retrieval having that much bearing on your airtime.

To put the final in this coffin, Voicemail is not a free call. It's not considered mobile to mobile because you are calling an outside server. It used to be a mobile to mobile c all prpbably a year and half ago the AT&T changed it. Now if you want to call your voicemail for free, use another phone to call your phone, when you get to your voicemail hit the # key and enter your password.
