yes it is unfortunate that we do not offer iq tests before offering service. its like those customers who can't figure out how to put the battery in. i always just want to ask them if they never played put the square in the square hole while in kindergarten??

I Really think they should IQ test people that buy the pda devices beacuse we get some pretty dumb questions about them over here in tech support there are to many to list.
Then you have the people in the tos department in my center calling tech support to update the caller id information on a number that just changed name they can't get it into there heads the billing system will correct the caller id name and that it can take landline carriers that transmit the caller id name up to two weeks to update there system.

I agree, at least they HAVE a cell phone. There are other subjects you guys are just as ignorant about.

dude, i don't even have a cell phone. i had an audiovox straight-up analog phone with MT&T. it had a green screen and said "hello" in block letters when i started it up. i thought i was the man
but technology changes so often. when i got that phone, there weren't even camera phones back then. and that was only about 6 years ago. even six years from now, things are going to be much crazier

for the caller id thing i always tell people that their caller id boxes once identified a number will keep posting the name up there and remind people that most phones incorperate their phone book into the phone. (like my cell phone. it doesn't show names unless they are in my phonebook) but it's a bunch of hogwash to tell them it's not instant it takes a while.

Also, it's good to remember that the people who are calling in with dumb questions are part of the reason why you're getting a paycheck. And besides, their questions (or stories) are a good reason to start up "cooler talk".
