Okay, so I need to buy the serial cable for my x426 so I can unlock it.
The PCB093LBE seems to be the correct cable, and I've seen plenty on eBay but I just wanted to confirm it here first.
Also, it looks like the cable does not come with drivers? Is there anyone here who can help me out with that if I get a cable off eBay that doesn't include the drivers?
EDIT: another question, do ALL PCB093LBE cables fit the x426? some of the cables on eBay do not list the x426 as a supported model, yet they are all the same cable.

Since PCB093LBE is a serial cable, you don't need a driver for it. Make sure the cable has a switch in the middle of the cable.

Oh wow, really? I was just wondering because in the mian topic about unlocking, the instructions say to have the phone plugged in with the drivers installed and to then use Cerberos to unlock the phone. But if drivers aren't needed then I guess I'd be all set with the cable.
Are you sure I don't need the Samsung Easy Studio (or something) software to be able to unlock my 426?

Easy Studio, PC Studio, Cerebros are application software and not driver. If you get the usb type cable, you need a usb-to-serial driver to make the usb cable look like a serial cable to the PC. To download picture, ringtones phonebook & etc, you need to use PC Studio PIMS from Samsung. To unlock your X426, you need program like Cerebros or Optiflash. Check the following thread if you have not done yet:

Okay, thanks JS
Yeah I've read that topic extensively, I was just thrown off by this part in roswell's instructions where it says
| Quote: | Cerebros Instructions:
1. Make sure phone is plugged into cable, cable is plugged into computer, drivers are installed, and phone is on. |
I just purchased the cable off of eBay which should arrive in a couple days, and just wanted to make sure I didn't also need some sort of cd with drivers or something. Apparently everyone says you only need drivers for the USB cable so I guess I'm all set.
