T-Mobile USA will bid for 3G spectrum (in the 2100 and 1700 MHz bands) in the upcoming FCC auctions, to be held in August 2006. The 3G network will be based on a UMTS/HSDPA solution and should be launched sometime in 2007.
finaly something no other network has.

I've seen that all over the news. tmobile won't be the only carrier operating at 1700 and 2100mhz though. Anyone who wins a license from the auction will be able to use that spectrum. Tmobile has been doing goo so far so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they win the most spectrum.
