I've had cingular for 2 and a half years, and that is 2 and a half years too long. My wife and I live in separate cities, and have constantly suffered dropped calls, intermittent service, or no service. In my office building in the Puget Sound area (Silicon Valley North), I get no reception, unless I go right up to the windows on the 3rd or 4th floor. Inside an elevator? forget it, in the hallway? not a chance. Many of my coworkers are on Verizon, they can be in a teleconference, drive to the office, come up the stairwells, to their desks, and when the conference goes long, they can go to the restrooms (on mute of course:) and still have service.
Now, cingular has had an outage in eastern Washington for a week, that has seriously affected my wife. Today, I am switching to Verizon! I've already got the phones on hold, and the rep has me scheduled in his calender for this afternoon.
Adios' Cingular,
Hello Verizon!

Bryce...for optimum service make sure you ask for and receive a tri-mode phone. Welcome to the family!!!

picks up on analog as well as both digital frequencies. At least for now, it allows for more complete coverage in rural areas.

tri-mode will give you more complete coverage, especially in rural areas. If you're in a major metro area and you stay there most of the time, digital is ok.
