One other possible thing to keep in mind.
If you tried to sync and it didn't work and you unplugged it without "ejecting" it may have bugged the connection.

I had this problem with mine the first time.
I had to reboot my computer, then plugged the cable into the phone, and THEN into the computer and it synced up just fine.

When you are done, make sure you hit the key on your phone to close the connection BEFORE you unplug anything.

The only way i got mine to sync was to do the following.

Make sure your phone is plugged in and not in sync mode. Open your device manager. Open the USB tab at the bottom of the screen. Click on the LGE CDMA comp. usb device and delete it. Now open the port tab above and make sure the LGE CDMA unit in there is deleted also. Start up media player and sync your phone. That allows the phone to sync. Im thinking that our computers are thinking that the phone is a modem and not an Ipod device. I have to do this everytime I need to add or del items. It stinks but it works untill theres a fix.

I have a problem! Well it's more a quiereeee....
I'm not sure if any of you have tried it, but when you call someone and you press the MP3 button at the side, you then have an option of things come up.. it says 'Options' on the screen, and isf you click it and then 'Jokes' ... it sends u a joke... i did this by just browsing it... but then it said each text costs 20p, will it keep sending me then and taking my money? Or will it only do it once and then stop until u press for another joke?
Please helpp... xx thanks xx

I also had a hard time getting mine to sync. I downloaded the drivers and tried 2 different desktops before I found this Forum. I plugged into the USB port in the back and am off and running....odd.

Thanks Guys!!

Well the only thing that has come close to my problems; is exactly what Norton said. It is def acting like my LG is a modem. I dont an option in device manger USB to delete this-only disable, uninstall, & such. Also what tab above ur u talking about above this; i have tried all 5 of my USB ports & my phone is still a modem! tyvm

When I click the Sync on the phone it says loading Music Sync and then goes back to the menu. Whats up with that.

I didn't want to make a new topic because I thought it was related to this thread.

I just got a Chocolate Phone yesterday with a "VCast Music Essentials Kit." Now I have no issues (so far) with operating my Chocolate and such, though I'm not really sure how to get my music. and how to get it on my phone. I tried installing all applications on the CD provided. but I am having trouble installing "VCast Music". Since I have Windows Media Player 11, does that mean I cannot use this program? Do I need to degrade to WMP11?

I am totally new and confused to downloading music to a phone and basically have no idea how to do this. help?
