Are you placing the phone in sync mode first? That might be the problem. I had the same problem occur to me until I read the instructions a little slower and I realized I had to put the phone in sync mode first, then do the same for WMP.

i just got my lg8500(chocolate hate that name now) and as soon as i place my phone is sync mode it trys to connect my computer says it see's it then the phone stops trying to connect and computer stops trying to sync to it. After 3 hours with tech support and updateing all my usb drivers and downgradeing and upgradeing and downgradeing again with media player. I was told it was the phone and i needs to be replaced. I took the phone back it was replaced and the new one is doing the same thing. I started to think its my computer but after 3 computers too it still does not sync up.

if plugging the usb into the back of the computer doesnt work try this. okay..

first- you plug the usb into the phone, only the phone not the usb port on the computer

second- you press sync on ur chocolate

third- there should be like a 2sec pause on the phone then it starts connecting, right wen you see the phone switch screens from the menu to connecting you plug the usb into the computer. you should repeat this a couple of times until it says connecting, also do not close your phone wen its connected or else it'l disconect n u'll get pissed lol.

its much easier to get a card and a card reader, we payed enough money that we shouldnt have to play little tricks to connect our phone to the computer but too badd.

I use another mp3 to drop files onto the sd card too lol. Because i formated it through the phone as soon as the sd card is seen it is seen as verizon lol. even though its in a rio.

I know that this is a little off the subject but my when I put the mp4s on my phone it is not a clear fast video. Its choppy. Pissin' me off and I would like your help. I got the mp4's from limewire is that why maybe, but the videos run on my computer fine. Whats up?
