I have an audiovox that really sucks. I have problems getting a signal, making and receiving calls, voice mail and text messages among other things. I am still "under contract" with the phone so they will only replace it under warranty. I have been with Alltel since 2000 with my phone and had pager service with them since 1995. They answer the phones and "thank me for being a valued customer for such a long time" but tell me, basically, to turn around and bend over because they are going to screw me and not let me get a different phone. I now go to one of the stores at least 1 time a week if not 2 and get another audiovox. They told me if they run out of the same kind, they will give me a replacement of equal value. I told them that I would come as much as possible until they run out. I am nice when I go in - it's not the csr's fault - and they know me by name now. I refuse to pay $150.00 (cheapest phone price) when I can see on their website what they are offering to people not "under contract". It pisses me off everytime I think about the contract crap. They need to come up with another option because it is going to lose customers. I know of others who are dealing with the same type of problems......I feel a lot better now that I have gotten all of that off my chest............

Quinnism, get the new Kyocera Strobe on a prepaid service plan. It's like 50 dollars, and a cool looking phone.
