Can you get the alarm to still work with the phone off?? Ive tried but the alarm never goes off if I turn the phone off. Ive read that you can select "Alarm only" so calls or texts wont wake you, but this still involves leaving the phone on. Is this an LG flaw or am i being stupid??
Thanks

You have to have the phone on for the alarm to work. It's not a flaw.

Salehound, I disagree. It is a flaw, or at least a very dissapointing feature of this phone. My last phone was a nokia and each evening I would set my alarm, then turn the phone off. In the morning my alarm would work, and then ask me if id like to switch the phone on. A feature that I found extremely useful and one that i found hard to believe any future phone would omit. Very dissapointed with this.

It is def a flaw - the alarm doesn't even sound if phone is on but in silent mode. My last Nokia, i was able to switch phone to slient, so not be woken by calls or texts, but still get woken by alarm in morning! With LG, if alarm is set and phone set to silent, the alarm is silent-i learnt the hard way too!
Also - anyone know of a way when texting to 'insert word' if the predictive text doesn't recognise it, without having to switch predictive text off??

Try this... go to the menu, settings and tools, phone settings, standalone mode - turn it on. This turns off your phone's wireless connections off so you can't get calls but the alarm should work. Also saves the limited battery life.
