Under travel and Guides is a free navigation application for a limited time...until September. Also the subscription is $9.99, but the buying fee is $2.99 until Sept 19.
I downloaded it and it's pretty cool. My first experience with a navigation program and I have to say it's pretty decent (and scary LOL!)

Thanks! I was using the navigation today and it was kinda freaky. It would tell me I have to turn in ** miles...then updates it every so often. Just before we turned, it said, "Turn right on canal drive". We decided to ignore the next direction and turned left instead of going straight. Five seconds after we turned, it said, "Recalculating route". Then it continued to route us home.
I've never used a navigational tool like that before, so I was pretty impressed! It isn't dead-on accurate when I ask it "where am I?" it's a couple houses off. But it's still great in giving directions.

Just keep in mind you're using airtime when you use it, but it's free if you're using it on weekends and during offpeak hours.

I tried talking my mother into downloading the program to her vx8100 and she wasn't interested until I showed her how it worked on the way to church yesterday. She was fascinated with the accuracy of the directions. Under Location Info in the options during navigation, you can even get the speed of your vehicle.
UNFORTUNATELY, when she finally handed over her phone for the download, I discovered that she didn't have the option for VZ Navigator on her phone. I checked my husband's VX5200, and he didn't have the option, either, even though it's still available on my 8300 model.
Apparently, this program is is not accessible to all models. I know you can have it if you have the 8300...not sure about the chocolate.
Please feel free to post if you can get it with other phone models. Thanks.[/url]

Bringing it back to the top. There's still time to download this program.
Just to make it clear, I'm not making a cent off this post. I just find the navigator to be such a helpful tool, I want to share it with others.
Every time I use it I am blown away with the accuracy of it.
You can download it for a free trial and delete it if you don't like it.
