If you have a memory card in this phone and your wallpaper display is referencing a photo on the card (instead of a photo stored in internal memory), your battery will die in 6-8 hours. Put the photo on the phones' internal memory and the battery life will not be affected. In other words, the phone is constantly reading the micro SD card to display the wallpaper. I took my phone to Verizon and they tried to tell me everything was ok. Verizon could not figure this out and I had to rely on my 14 year old son to figure it out.

Are smaller size mem. cards less of a battery drain? Is anyone able to use mem cards without greatly reducing battery life? If not, how about a way to transfer songs from mem. card to phone faster than just one song at a time? I

Lg has fix the battery problem with their new software update. All you need to do just take your phone to verizon and get your phone updated to the software T85VZV06 (version 6). It will take about an hour to do.

ok so i just picked up this PREPAID lg chocolate 8500 and its great. but to save some battery life i want to turn of the ev-do setting. im aware that your supposed to go to the main menu and then hit "0" like 6 times, but the code is different on my prepaid version! so i was just wondering if anyone has yet figured this out! thankyou thankyou!

My chocolate turns its self back on when I turn it off. I also have problems with turning it on , when I turn it off and I want to turn it on I have to take the battery off then plug the charger in then I put the battery back on, If I don't do that it won't turn on. These problems started a month after I got it. I got it in 2007. Those are the only problems I am having with it. The problems all started on newyears when I got a text from my phone to my phone , I never sent the text out nor did anyone touch my phone.
