Hi guys
I've got a Samsung D900 which I'm trying to get Opera Mini working on.
The app installs fine, but wont connect to the internet. I've tried other Java-based browsers (Reqwireless) which also fails (different message - "Error")
My WAP browser and email are both working. I've tried swapping the settings around so email uses WAP settings and vice versa, but still the same result for the Java app.
I believe that the Java apps may be restricted from accessing GPRS, although O2 UK say that isn't the case (I don't have confidence in them).
I've found the D500 codes, and #*536962# displays some Java settings, but I can't seem to "apply" those settings.
I have 3 days left before my 7-day return period expires - so any help would be appreciated, otherwise the phone has to go back!
Does anyone know how to enable unsigned Java apps to use GPRS?

Some providers block HTTP traffic. Using my KPN sim card I have this problem on both my se k750i and samsung d900 so its not a d900 problem. But when i use my orange card it works fine and its free.
There is a work arround for some providers, you can try using their proxy or not using it.
PS: You should leave your java setings on WAPSAR #*536961#

So you used t-mobile settings on a O2 network?

Er, no
It's an O2 handset, but I'm using it with my T-Mobile SIM (it came unlocked for any network and I only wanted the handset).
The problem was that I couldn't/didn't find the Java app specific network settings until I downloaded the English version of the user guide (my manual was French and my translation was obviously not good enough!)
I'd been changing the WAP browser settings, assuming Java used that too.
Obvious when you know I guess!

Hi, how did you upload a java app to the D900? Ive got the cable that came with it and ive read several postings about entering a sub menu via a hash code however it just reboots my phone each time.
Any help appreciated

I installed Opera Mini (which is great, especially for free) which I downloaded via wap.
I've not installed anything Java using the cable
