Is it possible to train it to do more then 1 word. Because as it is, attempting to use what LG has for Predictive vs my V710 is worse. mainly because I can't CHOOSE what word it think's I'm trying to tap/type.
Tried looking in instruction booklet and asked a VZ Tech at a standalone store (not a kiosk) and they had no clue.

While the word you're trying to write is still highlighted, did you try pressing "0"? That's the Next key to change the word into another possible word. For instance, whenever I try to type the word "cell" when I'm texting, it always comes out first as "bell". While "bell" is still highlighted though, I just have to press 0, and it cycles through all the other possibilities until it reaches "cell".
Although I have a Chocolate, I'm pretty sure this is the same with most other LG phones. So try pressing 0 and see if that helps.

Thanks Spunko, that'll help for most situations. Didn't even realize that did it.
Another dumb question for anyone to answer as my options I can't seem to find it (though I did on the Chocolate but I already returned that p.o.s in my opinion) to have it default to Word instead of typing each letter individually.

Try checking out your main Messages menu, the one that has all the options like text messages, vmail messages, email, etc. Look closely to see if there's a button you press for Settings (That might sound sarcastic, but I'm serious. It's not on the main list). On my Chocolate (which I happen to like ), I use the left soft key to access it. Anyways, if you find it, there should be an option to change the default text format.
I hope what I wrote just made sense.

P.S. It's actually quite a coincidence, really, that I just happened to be trying to figure out the same problem two days ago.

Found it. Thanks again! I didnt even bother checking the Message 'settings' of all things. Ah well, thats what I get for not looking hard enough even though I kept looking in other spots.
