Hello All.

I am new to the forum and am need of some help.

I have a v500 (orange branded) and a usb data cable. All has been well with the phone until I got a bit caried away with the moding side of things.

The first thing I did was to flash the phone to this firmware :-

TRIPLETS_G_0B.09.72R_LP0032_JPJAVA_G_0B_TRIPLET_04_05R_SE6424AXXT11D4_ 1FF.shx

I used flasgbackup 2.62 to flash the phone. All went well and the phone was working with no problems.

I friend of mine gave me a TESCO sim and when I inserted it I got the good old "enter subsidy code" screen.

There is an .exe file called PDSedit.exe that comes with flash backup. Like a total wally I dragged the slider fully to the right. After this the only thing I could get out of the phone was the keypad lighting up briefly then the going of. There is nothing at all on the screen.

After some serios googling I decided to try and re-flash the monster pack as the pc was still seing the phone. At the stage of "sending loader" the app froze. The phone is still behaving as above but now the pc will not see the phone at all.

I have heard that the phone can be saved by using a clip and reflashing the bootloader, if that is where the problem is !

I have allso seen numerous references to a testpoint on the phone but can find no technical information.

Before I tried the reflash I tried the motorepair demo and that stated that the phone was repaired but it made no diference.

This is the only info I was able to collect about the boot loader from the terminal.

Waiting for phone... Found!

Getting phone interface information...
Registry Interface #: 6
Interface Description: Motorola Flash Interface
Interface LocInfo: S Flash Neptune LTE

Opening phone for communication... Success!
Getting software version... R364_G_0B.D1.0BR, Flex: SE8402AXXU1071
Getting bootloader version... 07.B0
Getting flash mode... SFLASH (Normal)

------------------------------------------------------------------

I am by no means a techy noob but I am a bit out of my depth here.

Any help or advice would be very greatfuly recieved even if its to use the phone as a paperwieght icon_biggrin.gif

Thanks for your time.

Stuart.

Ahh... Have tried that program allready. It seems to work, at the end it tells me to hold * and # together until it re-connects. It does this but the screen is still blank. I then used flashbackup to flash the firmware on my OP.

Still no joy. I have the demo version of repstudio and cant see an option for a pds rebuild though !

Thanks for that icon_smile.gif

Your help is very much apreciated.

One quick thing, When I connect the phone to flash backup it states my IMEI is "FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF" so it sounds like my PDS is screwed totaly + When googling many people have mentioned that you cant access the PDS from the usb cable !

I am wodering if there is anywhere I can get the original motorola orange PDS.bin (if its a bin file) and send it to the phone somehow.

Is it worth me looking into this test point on the phone's pcb ?
