go a few days before the end of your billing cycle. as you'll still be charge the full monthly service when you cancel your current account.

Go whenever I'd imagine. Friend of mine switched recently and she was able to have the port over done in less then an hour. (around a half hour I think)

yeah my contract ends on the 15, but my billing cycle is on the 7th. if i go before the 7th, or even before the 15 for that matter, wont tmobile charge me that termination fee?

yeah. so if your billing cycle ends on the 7th, make the switch around the 4th of october. since you'll get billed for the full month, you might as well use it.

if you don't care about paying for service you didn't use, then it doesn't matter.

but if i port my number before the 7th or the 15th, would that cancel my service w/ tmobile? and if it does, wont i get charged the termination fee because it got cancelled before the contract end date?

it will cancel automatically, and you will be charged the cancellation fee. that's why i said to cancel in october after your contract ends, but before the next billing cycle starts.
