I've searched the User Guide up and down and cannot find any way to know 1) when my phone is on (i.e., no blinking indicator light) and 2) when it's finished charging! I can't believe LG omitted these standard features from an otherwise well-equipped phone!
Somebody, please tell me I'm wrong (otherwise this phone might have to go back to Verizon)!

When I open the phone, the screen says it's charged.

I shouldn't have to open the phone to know if it's charged or not. This is the first phone where charging is not indicated somehow externally. Usually a red light indicating charging in progress, a green light to indicate charging completed.
And as to my other complaint, how do you know if your phone is turned on or not? By opening it?!

Again, the phone should tell me at a glance what its status is. I've owned six cellphones over the past years. Every one had a light that told me a) when it was on, and b) when charging was complete.
