Well, I was messing around trying to get ringtones onto my phone. I always used MPT witout any problems, but then it stopped working on me. So I decided to use P2Ktools and apparently didnt follow the proper directions and lost complete sound on my phone like I said it would. Ive tried all the different fixes, deleting the two .db files restarting phone, creating a new feature file using PST, master reset etc, but I cant seem to get it to work. the phone does vibrate so I can use that if I cant get my rigners back, even though it sucks, but the problem is that I cant even hear people when they call me, I cant play any sounds currently on the phone, so it seems like there is a setting somewhere that set the speakers off or something. Please help icon_confused.gif

(oh and as far as the mobile phone tools not working, the problem is taht when I start it up and it is connected, it just stays initializing but never connects. I tried it on my laptop, with the same data cable and same version and it worked flawlessly. Ive tried uninstalling, reinstalling, asl tried different versions but nothing seems to work for that).

Sounds like the entire sound file is corrupted, something went horribly wrong, have you tried master clear and master reset?? Thats in Settings>Initial Setup, and standard password if you haven't changed it is 000000, if you already tried that, then use advanced p2k editor (google it) to repair the ring style menus (if the delete temptone.db and mytone.db then master reset failed) and if none of this works, you should begin to look into flash/flexing, flash/flexing is last resort, so lets see if you can get around this first.

thanks for the reply. Well I decided last night that I might as well just reflex it. I did, and it works, and actually like my phone alot better now. Thanks for the reply!

I take it you never installed the drivers?? When you create a profile and select USB do you plug the phone in then, if so the drivers are automatically installed for you, if this is some other device conflict, maybe your phone has dirty contacts, that did it for my phone a few times, turn the phone off and scrub the contacts with a Q-Tip with some alcohol then, scrub it with the dry end, make sure theres as little black as possible. This is good to do on routine just for maintenance cleaning, but lastly it could be just re-install the program and reboot the phones.

Find p2ktool and use the feature "fix ring tone" to fix that or find Moto Kit and do the same thing without reflash
