Just wondering what phones are being used by the people who know phones best.
I'm a recent T-Mobile hire and am trying to pick out a new phone.
Currently looking at the Motorola V360 for the simple reason that it has MP3 capabilities with an expandable SD slot.
I've also been using the Moto v325 for the past 6 months so it's setup very similiar but that isn't as important as having a good, sturdy, reliable phone that I can use as an MP3 player.

Let me know what you use and why.
Also, if you're looking at upgrades... what and why.

I work for T-Mobiles Tier 1 Data support and use the V360. I've never had issues (other than it being possessed...)

The call quality is great cause it has SAIC (a dual antennea system that has one connected to the tower and other one searching constantly for better signal)

The MP3 player could be better but it is just a phone after all

I can store my pictures easily to my computer cause of the memory card and even take them to a photo center to get printed.

You can make your own ringtones (no more paying $1.99 per tone)

Video is iffy, but again it's a phone.

Newer models have Airplane mode so you can use MP3 player in planes, hospitals etc.

I love the fact that I can charge it off my computer and a mini USB, so I don't have to have a charger at my desk or in my computer room.

Then again I'm biased, I like Motorolas icon_smile.gif

Now if you are T-Mobile New Hire, then I recommend taking a look at the new phones coming out in SL. There are some awesom BB's coming out soon as well as some other nice phones. Make an informed decision, talk with your trainers, people you do ride alongs with, wander out to the smoking area (even if you don't smoke and if you can stand it) and ask around.

Tigress,
Thanks for the info.
I'm partial to Motorolas myself although my trainer seems heavily biased towards Nokia.

Forgive my ignorance but "coming out in SL."... SL?

also I'm curious about:

"I've never had issues (other than it being possessed...)"

Now you're just scaring me!!

I'm mainly going to use the MP3 player at the gym so it doesn't need to be anything speacial.
Truthfully... I just don't want to spring for an Ipod.

Streamline, the internal website w/ policies and such icon_smile.gif T-Mobile old timer shorthand, sorry icon_biggrin.gif

Mine had an odd issue that I've never seen, but only happened twice. If I was in a low service area and tried to place a call I got call failed. Well if I kept trying a few times it would just start vibrating and wouldn't stop unless I p/c. The first time it was annoying but whatever.

The second time I borrowed my boyfriends phone to call for a replacement, but I let it keep vibrating so that the TSR could hear. Well, my boyfriends phone dropped the call (damn V188) and the only number he had to call me back on was mine, so when he called back, it did the Vibe and Ring like I have it set up, but when I dropped the call since he called me back on my boyfriends it just kept ringing over and over...It was odd and we couldn't replicate the problem since I didn't have a cordless I could take to the no service area, but it hasn't happened since I got the new phone.

That's what I mean by posessed...No other issues, preforms great!
