I have downloaded CD tracks to my PC but I don't know how to convert them in to MP3's for my phone, I have never had an MP3 player before and it is all new to me I have downloaded the software that came with the phone but it doesn't tell you anything about converting tracks and if I try and drag them from windows media player to the phone it says file not valid

when you rip a cd, it usually defaults to mp3. try right-clicking on the file and selecting properties. under "type of file" it will say if it is mp3.
that phone plays mp3/aac/wma. so it mostlikely ripped into one of those formats. if the "type of file" shows one of those, then everything should be ready to be loaded to the phone.
by the way, nice phone.

Thanks I did that and they all say audio file, I did manage to put about 5 tracks on the phone when I first got it but only 2 would play. Could it be something to do with copyright that is stopping them being downloaded?

it depends. if they are in aac you'll need to synch through itunes. if it's wma, you'll need to sync with wmp to transfer the licenses.

when you right-click on a file what does it say under type of file exactly?
