I don't understand the point of the Teleflip service. I already know the email address of my phone. I need to know the email address of all the international people I send to, and I need them to know to email me instead of SMS me. What a pain in the arse. I have to count on them remembering that any SMS they send me won't come through? It would be nice if they at least got a bounce back instead of the message being lost in cyberspace.

The way that i get around international texting fees is with a nifty little phone application called FishText. It works on most java based phones and i have been texting all my friends who are traveling or live abroad for pretty cheap . You should check it out
