to be honest the music essentional cd in the in the kit has nothing on it really. it has a monitor on it and drivers for the cable but you cant sync the dang thing up anyways. Ill get back with you on the drivers but other than that. they want you to use media player 10 and sync up that way.

So the LG Contents Bank software isnt on the Music Essentials disc ? Well I really dont care about putting music I had to use my Digital Camera to put music on it but I really want to be able to put games on the phone and there is a "Mod' out there to do it but I would need a LG Contents Bank software compatible with the Chocolate.
Ok thanks Im looking foward to it.

Wow what a mission!
I just got my vx8500 lg chocolate phone and it took me a while to figure it out but I finally did.
If you want to transfer your music onto your phone using a usb cable it is possible. I found a link from verizon (I think that it is the same software that people are paying $30 for) at http://www.vzam.net/vcastmusic/ and it works. I still do prefer using Microsoft media player. At first I could not get the usb cable to work but with trial and error it finally did. I had an older version of media player 11 and I had to download the new version so that it could read my lg phone. Also the bitpim program is pretty good for all other needs: phonebook, text, sms, photos, ring tones, etc. I used bitpim to make my own ring tones - pretty cool! No need to pay for ring tone anymore!
Good !
