Im from Canada, like most of us I do want sidekick to be available here, but right now there is no dealer out there that sells it, there was Fido but they only had sidekick 2 for short time where im from...
I bought sidekick 3 on eBay, of course its not unlocked and is asking for a sim card i tried putting Rogers but it asked for a Code Unlocked, i talked to T-MOBILE rep and the dude said i have to be a customer for 3 months then he said he will double check it, came back with "sorry no we cant unlock any danger devices"
my question is, should i re-sell it on eBay or just plain wait to see how fast can somebody crack this toy... i mean SideKick II can be unlocked now days im i right??
any help will be appreciated, thanks!

Because Sidekicks are propriatary for T-Mobile USA, it can't be unlocked. (Yes other companies had them but marketed as HipTop)
If it was unlocked and you did attempt to use it on another carriers network and use the data, T-Mobile would still get billed by Danger, so that's why they aren't unlocking them.
Even SK2's can not be unlocked - It goes for any danger device marketed by T-Mobile.

our only hope in canada then is T-Mobile coming to canada, or major carrier pickin up the 'Danger' services...

You would stil have a problem even if fido picked up danger services. The sidekicks operating system is written to work with tmobile only. You are going to need a sidekick specifically for your carrier when/if they launch one.

theres only 2 companys that have the Sidekick/HipTop in North Americia and they are
T-Mobile USA
Fido Brand of Rogers Wireless in Canada
so good like on trying to unlock it
