I just got my Lg8300 a few days ago and im trying to add songs to it. The device amanger and BitPim(tho i have no idea how to use BitPim) recognize my phone, but Media Player doesnt "No device detected". I try to sync it on the phone and it just says "connect Failure" Iv tried reinstalling the drivers but no go. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? Right now I just wnt to add a few songs on my phone since I dont have a SD card yet. Thanks

I had problems adding songs to my phone in WMA. I used the program that came with my mp3 player and it saved the songs in mp3 format which bitpim likes.

Bamboozle, there are a couple of things that come to mind that could lead to your phone not being read.
1) Did you make sure to activate "Sync Music" on your phone first?
2) Are you using WMP version 10? (version 11 is not supported since it's still considered Beta).
Although I have a Chocolate, I'm sure the two phones are similar enough that it shouldn't require anything else.

Everytime i try to sync my phone it says "connect Failure" Its aggrivating, i can throw music on my phone through bitpim but they only goto "my sounds" folder which doesnt allow me to play them with the player.

Since you have a USB cable, try this: don't use anything at all. Using My Computer, drag and drop your song files into your My_Music directory on your phone. Hopefully that will work.
