appreciate the quick response and what you say is a 'given'. i'm looking for a 'gimme'. ALL the shortcuts are 'pre-ordained by LG & Verizon. I am looking to modify at least one of the four ( NEWS ) to a point that is NOT on their list of choices.......
mission probable....???

would luv to see the shortcut go into NAM select showing the screen:
1. NAM 1
2. NAM 2
which is Settings & Tools, -#5(Phone Settings) # 7(NAM Select)
incredible wish would be to be able to point one position (North Preferable) to point anywhere and hit 'OK' to set it.
tis my wish, oh genii........

have since done a 'walkabout' on this unit with BITPIM and can not see where i can access the firmware, but have added to my 'Wish List'.....
a. at least one user identifiable 'OK' key shortcut
b. able to change the alpha-numric 'NAM 1/2' to any title,
I.E.
1. ATLANTA,
2. NEW YORK
c. be able to modify the #1 key from VoiceMail to another speed dial...( other providers(Verizon did too) have sometimes made that key for 911, but was NOT made part of the firmware.)
