I don't really have a clue about tmobile & sidekicks because I'm a verizon customer..
Anyhow, I am looking into buying a juicy couture sidekick 2 on EBAY with the tmobile prepaid pay as you go plan?.. Now the seller stated that the phone is locked and they tried to unlock it but Tmobile cannot unlock the particular phone for some reason.. I'm not quite understanding about the unlock feature?
I am assumin it didnt work for them because they tried to use a different company to use the phone? I'm lost..?
If I'm goin to purchase a sim card and get the tmobile prepaid pay as you go plan, would the phone still not work?? what about the internet, would that not work?

The phone will work great for you...UNLOCKED means you can use it for someone besides T-Mobile...but it will not work for any other company besides t-mobile for data or anything so it will work great for you on t-mobile prepaid but you will have to pay $30 a month for the data plan . I have the sidekick II and it is awesome I love it so much.

Ohhh i see, for the prepaid pay as you go, when you mean data are you talkin about, i can't use the internet/web feature?

Unlocked simply means that if it's unlocked you can use it with another carrier. This doesn't do much good because the T-Mobile Sidekick won't work as anything other than a phone with any other carrier.
However the pay as you go plan for SK's are great! Voice minutes are $0.15/minute I believe and the data on the pay as you go is only a $1/day and that's only if you use the data. So say you use it Friday, Saturday, Sunday, but don't use the rest of the week, you are only paying $3 for the data feature!
