we may not be able to get the unlocked phone working for you...but you definitely need to call Customer Care. call from a landline (1-800-331-0500) and have your samsung phone with you.

you'll mostlikely need to update your message center #.

hi thanks for the help I called cingular they told me that I have to change my setting but they cant help. I also went to cingulars site and I changed my service center number now I can text. which is great I just can't picture text. I should aslo mention that cingular does not carry my phone, that why they can't help me. I tried going into my phone and change the setting but the it says to go multimedia setting and I don't have that on my list. So any help if any would be greatly apperciated. Oh I have a Samsung t309.

the problem is it's not a phone we carry...so we have no documentation on how to support it. also, it appears to be a phone made for tmobile. so, we won't know how to change the internet settings. i looked through samsung's t309 online user manual (PDF file) and couldn't find out how to change the internet settings....maybe i missed something. you must be able to access our internet service in order to send pictures in messages.

it might not be under the main menu settings option.
go to "messaging" (usually an envelope icon) and see if you have an "options" or "settings" there. if not, look for something like "multimedia messages" and select that and see if there is an "options" or "settings" there.
if so, it should have something like "internet profile"...if you can find something like that let us know.
added by edit:
by "us"...i mean us here on the board...not cingular phone reps cuz cingular phone reps will NOT have access to ANY support documentation for THIS phone as it is a phone we have NEVER carried.
cheers.

Me again I went into my phone and I think Cingular and T mobile differ, I went into the menu and I do have the settings option., but I don't have multi media settings all I have is text settings that when selected I can input service center number and destination address, validity period and in picture messages there is only priority, validity and delivery and receive settings which are report, ads and anonymous reject. There is no where I see to input web information in the web browser, plus don't see the options for web. I looked everywhere. Hope you can still help.
