So I was trying to simply do this p2k stuff to get the voice mail indicator to go away and stop sending me these stupid text messages with nothing in them every time I got a voice mail, but now, after downloading all that info and trying to use it, NONE OF IT WORKED AT ALL and my V3i that I just bought and paid a butt load of money for will not even work AT ALL!!!! icon_mad.gif I am EXTREMELY frustrated at this. When I turn it on, the phone shows the normal Motorola screen and then freezes on a plain screen with the blue and white "M" in the middle....it will not go past that at all. I need to know what to do. I do not have a phone now....this is NOT cool.......

Not sure exactly what you have done to the phone. You will need to flash it with a new flex / monsterpack.

First you need to find some software called RSD Lite - unfortunately this is classed as warez so I cannot give you a link.

Try using google

The only site that I found was in Russian. I downloaded a package to my PC from planet Motox.net. It's this:

S/W Version: R374_G_0E.40.79R.shx
Flex Version: SE8607AXXT1088
Language Pack: 0034
Stock Moto/Unlocked
Free space: 5606 KB
File count: 490
[13.6 MB]
[Uploaded.Apr.04.05]

Will this work on my V3i???? If so, how do I use it and so forth? Will I lose iTunes on it???????? Let me know how to do it and what will happen....I've never done this stuff....it's VERY nerve wracking!

OK, I found on the site some monsterpacks for the V3i with iTunes, which is what I have. Which one do I choose and what's the difference in them? Secondly, how do I use them? Will everything that worked before on my phone work? Such as MEdia Net (Cingular)? Camera, video cam? iTunes? Let me know. Thanks MikeKay!

You need RSD Lite to flash the file to your phone. The russian site has the program - one of the buttons will allow you to download the software.

You will probably need to get the Cingular settings - for internet and MMS - sent to your phone afterwards as I am not aware of a Cingular monsterpack but everything else should work straight away.

You really need RSD Lite first.

Then extract the .shx file from the .rar file you downloaded (use winrar). Run RSD Lite then connect the phone and browse to the .shx file. Press start, your pc will probably find some new hardware - point it at the drivers in the same way as before then RSD Lite should flash your phone.

The first file you listed is for the normal V3 - do not use that

Ok. I can't read Russian at all, so I have no clue which one will download it for me. Also, which drivers do I point it at when it finds the new hardware? I'm sorry that I'm so illiterate, but I've never done this....thanks.

The button near the file size

Point it at the drivers as explained in the getting connected guide I referred you to yesterday when it finds the new device

I'll try this soon....Now, i do have a couple of questions. Is my phone going to be as "good" as it was before it "crashed"? Meaning, the camera quality, memory of the phone, video stuff, bluetooth, etc.??? What does "flashing" it do and what do I need to expect? Thanks in advance.
