ok so i just got my d900 and obviously there is t9 on the phone i've seen it and even used it...problem is the only place i can actually access the t9 is in my contacts...when i write a text/email i can't use any form of t9...i've been looking around for hours on the phone trying to find a way to use it...am i just missing something really simple???

no one??...i've been around the phone like 5 or more times looking for a way to get t9 into my text messaging screen but the only options are abc/numbers/symbols

com'n someone has to know ...i even looked in the manual and no such luck...problem is i'm in the US right now and i don't feel much like calling the UK just to find out that they probably don't know either

Does pressing and holding the star button for a moment not switch text extry mode to T9? I have a D807, but I'm pretty sure this is standard on all Samsung phones. (And sorry if you already tried this, but it wasn't clear from your post.)

thanks for responding, i did actually try that...i went through the manual and tried everything they said would work...i have NO idea why...because in contacts its cake to get into T9...i just don't see why its not the same for messaging

ok well thanks for the effort guys i finally had a friend take a look at the phone...i must've put it on the wrong language setting...after that T9 was up and running in my messages

I think the solution is quite simple. in sms press and hold * and you iwll swith to T9 (see there are more T9 options). good luck.

Try 0 botton, it quite different setting of T9 from my old Nokia phone. * for change input, 0 for change splle, # for space
