I used to work in a primarily Philipino community, and not to be racist, but they'd always ask if they could get a free car charger or lower the price of the phones, I eventually started raising the price that I quoted them 30 bucks so I could say it was free, so the don't ask, its funny, theyd ask and I'd say its 34.99 and 95 percent of the time they'd pay the full price lol then I got transfered to an upper middle class area and no one asked if it was free, that ticked me off, I've only asked for a discount for phones twice, my Regional gladly gave 10 off per phone as one was a five liner and the other a 4 liner, the 4 liner was LACED up too, 4 Media basic's thats 60 bucks, plus 39 for the actos 2 Epacks that I make 10 each and 2 cases that I made 10 off of

I made 119 commission on one sale, but it could have been much better, I've made that much on a double upgrade before. Oh and today I sold a Blackberry Pearl with a 40 data connect + messaging, I made about 80 for a single upgrade. It was nice, she knew exactly what she wanted

Another thing I hate is when they come up hella pissed off about something and act like its my fault I just stare at them till they calm down, and I usually close them

My Assistant Manager has a fuse about a half inch long though its funny watching him argue with a customer about something stupid that could be fixed by a simple CS call.

I hate it when customers call in and want an explanation of their bill and don't have the bill in front of them so that we can discuss it. So I go over everything and make a point of saying, you'll see on page 4 that there's a charge to the UK and on page 10 you'll see the text messaging overages. . .

When customes call in, went waaay over their minutes and swith to a LOWER plan - I strongly 'advise' them of how much their bill would be, but they still do it. Sad really. that is when I write a novel on the notes.

I've had that call lotsa times.

cust had 39.99 plan 400 peak unl mtm unl N&W(old blue plan)

cust uses on a monthly basis 650 peak (went back several bills) the overage at the time was like .30/min any way the total bill was consistant. I advised customer to move up to 59.99 to cover usage and save money.his bill was in the 200.00 range.

A rate plan change would bring it down to ~70.00 taxes in.
the cust stated the he didnt want to spend 59.99 that was too much to pay a month.no matter what way I put it. the concept was out of his reach.it wasnt even a contract change because no new promos were being added he just wasnt clutching the concept. a novel was in that note.

The customers that want to upgrade their phone, but they aren't the contract signer.

"But I pay the bill every month . . ."

But the bill is not in your name, and to make changes to an account you have to be the one responsible for it.

"Well the other place across town does it . . ." or
"They'll do it over the phone."

Or you guys will love this one, 15 Months into a 2 year contract "What can you do for me on a new phone?" "Well that is not enough, I'll just cancel and resign." Good one, enjoy the ETF

Or "I only buy phones around Christmas because they are cheaper then."

icon_wacko.gif the most annoying thing a customer does is when they argue with you over their bill about overages. It's even more annoying if it's a repeat issue and they say they never go over their mins. It's also annoying when they say it's a mistake and we are to blame. or they feel we are conspiring against them. especially at&t BCV customers.
ROAR! icon_razz.gif I also find it annoying when a customer has an outrageous bill from internet sms or mms usage from their son/daughter and say "my child(ren) would never do that. that's a mistake. I want credit!" then if u say no they esc the call and they get it anyway. it's silly! icon_mad.gif

Yeah, I had a customer who had a high bill because of sms from late at night. I mentioned that their children may have been doing it. The response was that their children didn't even know how to send sms. ROFLMAO, . . . um sure, of course your child doesn't know more about a new technology then you do . . .

When assholes call in demanding a different make and model and they haven't even tried 1 friggan exchange. And then they spend the next 40 mins debating me on how they know more about the warranty then I do and we are somehow "required" too give them a different phone. I've gotten to the point I tell these fucks that is constitutes fraud and that there is no way in hell that i'll do it for them.
