I was working for Cingular WSC, I had this guy that was demanding a new make/model. He had done one previous exchange, so I finally told him I would ask my sup. My sup said go ahead, so I told him that we could do it for him (He had like a v551). He told me he wanted to Treo 650, I told him we had to do comparable phones, we can't upgrade, let alone give him a smartphone (this was around smartphones were mostly used by only business people, so they weren't quite as popular yet). He got all pissed off and said he needed the phone that day, I said that's impossible and I couldn't do that. He was a truckdriver and told me I had to, then he said he wouldn't be home until the next week. So, I went out of my way, and put a reminder in my phone, and told him that I would call him back that day he would be back. A week goes by and I call him, he remembered and appreciated me calling him back and helping him. I said I'll get the phone sent to him and I'll waive the express shipping fee for him too, all I need to do is read these terms and conditions to you, he said, "No I ain't agreeing to shit about this," I told him in order to get the new phone he would have to, he said he would just cancel his account then. Months later I remembered I still had his number so I looked it up, he had never called in since that day and didn't cancel his account too, haha.

Yeah, it is amusing to think about all the lies that customers tell us, and the fact that they think we're hearing them for the first time.

I had a customer that swore up and down that he did not call the UK. never did knows no one there never has. I advised hime that he "didnt call" the UK 3 times on his previous bill and basically on a monthly basis in previous bills. I also informed him that if he wished I could start a billing investigation.for some strange reason I heard a "click".

You think this is bad
i had a lady the other day call in talking about her high bill - she called in at that same time saying her phone was stolen last month.
I was okay - no prob, i can help out with FSLE - i called the phone first, she answered.asked her if she found the phone, she said no. I was like then why did you answer the phone? she then said she found it. I'm thinking, okay, mistake maybe. So I still say I will help her - I start viewing ALLLLL the numbers called during the "stolen" period and compared to them ALLLLLL the numbers on her last THREE bills. Same numbers. Long incoming and outgoing calls.I knew something was up. I told her (and my manager did too) that the evidence shows the phone was not stolen, so I placed her on hold, filled out the FSLE form in Clarify, I come back, and it's some dude on the line.and I'm asking "ma'am, are you still there?" and the guy is like, yeah I'm still here. i asked is this Ms XXXX, and HE says yeah. Soooo, the customer only got like $200 credit of the overages. It turns out this customer tried to do it last jan the same thing, got a little credit. I hate it when customer's lie. And especially when they are really bad at it.
