I am unsure how to use the bluetooth option on my phone. After I pair with another phone, I am unsure how to transfer data(music, pics, etc.) to and from that other phone. My question...is the bluetooth operational out of the box or do I have to buy additional software and/or accessories? If anyone knows of an online tutorial, that would be great. The owners manual sucks and is not very helpful. Thanks!

quick answer: you can't. verizon disables the OBEX profile, which is necessary for file transfers. the verizon motorola phones are hackable to get around the limitation, but not the LGs.

Bluetooth works just fine on the VX8300, but not without a BT-capable computer or BT USB adapter or Dongle. Once you successfully pair your phone to BT, you can use BitPim to transfer files to and from the phone.

Are there any drivers necessary for the phone or can we download them from somewhere?
I have BT on my Dell laptop and my 8300's are coming tomorrow and my wife wants hers up and running with her phonebook asap.
TIA

I'm using a BT adapter which came with drivers, and I've read in more than a few posts that if you're running Win XP SP2, you shouldn't need additional drivers. I found pairing up the phone to BT the most tedious part. Once that's done and BitPim is set up and knows what COM port is being used, you should be good to go.
