Hi there,
I saw a USB 2.0 bluetooth adapter for PC at walmart, and was wondering if it was able to transfer short mp3 clips from my PC to my phone via bluetooth?
I tried to email myself a ringtone using tmomail.net but I never received the email, and Tmobile said I could NOT send myself mp3 files used for ringtones.
Any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks!
Robert

I don't think the v3 can play an mp3 music file so I wouldn't think you could play an mp3 on it therefor I don't think you can transfer mp3 files with bluetooth but I believe you can transfer contacts between your pc and v3 via bluetooth.

Any other takes on this?

Hi-Fi Ringers are a form of MIDI for the most part - Just more layers to provide the voices so it sounds like the song w/ people singing - I need to look into some stuff on the V3, but I'll get back to you on this.

The only phone on the motorola razr family thay currently has an mp3 player is I want to say the v3i, which I think is the newest razr introduced by cingular. Also, verizon has a mp3 player version.

OK new question then, how can I make (from an mp3 or wav/wma file) my own ringtone and send it to my phone via bluetooth or other method?
thanks again!

Encode the file you want to use into a midi file. Tmobile may or may not allow you to send the file to your phone to use. Cnet.com has a guide to making your own ringtones. Its pretty good, I've used it on previous phones.

Another way - Get Motorola's Mobile Phone Tools. That will encode the files correctly for you.

Is that a package that requires a cable, or just send it to the phone via email/bluetooth/whatever?
Thanks!

May require a cable. I'd check motorolas website and/or forum to be sure.
