My Motorola razr v3i fell and stopped picking up my network signal a few days after. What can be done to fix this? Someone advised me to ask a technician to reinstall the software for the phone as the software may be faulty. Any suggestions? Thanks

I doubt a drop caused a software issue - more likely that there is a hardware problem - most likely the antenna

You could try to take it apart and identify and repair any damage

Thanks for your help. I'll ask someone to look at it and try that. It seems irreparable tho. They've taken it apart so many times. Would I need to purchase a new antenna?

I really couldn't say without seeing it myself. cnn.cn is the best place for parts if you decide to try and fix it
